Wood Burning Stoves that Make Biochar
I am at home on a rainy day here and about to get my fireplace going. I was noticing that wood burning stoves and fireplaces are pretty smokey.
So, for people in colder climates where people have wood burning stoves in their homes, would it be possible to replace those stoves with something having some of the esthetic properties people want in a fireplace, while throwing off heat and creating biochar for use in the garden?
I realize, of course, this isn't the answer for the whole world. But it could do a lot to get people in the 1st world more interested in biochar. And then we can enlist their support in the bigger biochar project.
